Okie dokie, then I'll see you tomorrow, Akashi-chan!
[ He's actually on time, at the welcome centre by 1pm. If anything, he'd actually said here because he'd planned on going somewhere nearby beforehand. It works out. Waiting doesn't exactly suit him though, so by the time Akashi arrives he'll find Ouma's crouching on the floor, using a stick to draw in the dirt.
Yes, just like a child might.
The doodle is actually just lots of swirls and hearts. Maybe a duck to the side. ]
[ It was neglect on Akashi's part that he forgot to ask how Kokichi looked like, but he figures that there won't be much people at the welcome centre now that most newcomers have begun settling down. He's only a little bit late -- 5 or so minutes -- and he doesn't seem bothered by his lack of punctuality at all. ]
Hey.
[ There's only one person outside the welcome centre who seems to be idle (or at least... drawing something). He figures that this guy might be the one Akashi is looking for. ]
Ah! [ He jumps up in surprise, though he'd been keeping an eye out for people in the area out of the corner of his eyes. With Akashi's hair, it isn't hard to miss him coming towards you. ]
[ He hums in response. That's a yes. He still sees nothing wrong with being called "Akashi-chan". While this isn't something he's thought of, his friends would definitely have a problem with it. They would find it so surprising that he's just letting somebody else call him with such familiarity. ]
[ He's unwillingly tugged along, but he allows it. Nobody usually had the gall to drag him to do things with them given his previous. . . "condition". Nobody would try it with his real self either, but he's a lot more lenient now. ]
I don't dislike cake, but I have to watch my diet.
I've never considered eating unhealthy food to be fun, [ somehow, he doesn't want to back down from this. . . whatever this is. It's not an argument, but Akashi wants to clarify where he stands and why he's there. ] I enjoy playing sports such as basketball, or games such as shogi and chess.
[ As they walk past people, some of them whisper to one another. Akashi's senses are pretty heightened because he's "absolute" or some other bullshit LOOK THIS IS EMBARRASSING FOR ME TO WRITE... the point is, he manages to hear these people as the two of them pass by.
"Aw, look at them! They're on their first date!" "A good time already? They're moving a bit too fast!" "They're already holding hands. Look!" ]
[ He hums in response, nodding once. ] That's because you haven't appreciated the taste before, Akashi-chan. Don't worry, that's something I can teach you. As for the rest... maybe we can play shogi or chess sometime. Buuuut. [ He lifts his free hand, pressing it against his lip as he sends him a smirk. ] If you lose, I'll send you to the shadow realm.
[ He's observant more than good at hearing, so he can see any girls who giggle behind their hands, or the disgusted looks from the odd elderly person. It isn't like he gives a fuck anyway. ]
Hey, hey-- did you know they have wyverns here? When they get big enough you can ride those!
[ Akashi can't say that he's never lost in his entire life anymore after Rakuzan's loss to Seirin, but that doesn't mean his confidence has been shattered. He's been knocked off a peg or two, but that's about it.
A small part of him feels some excitement in the idea of a punishment—whatever or wherever the "shadow realm" is, because it makes him think that Kokichi will be a worthwhile opponent. He's faced various people in his life - professionals and those who consider shogi a hobby - and he's defeated them without fail. Right now, he can't see how their future match will be any different, but it's still worth looking forward to. ]
I'm not sure what you mean, but I've never lost a game in my entire life.
[ As for the question-- ]
And yes, I've seen some owned by some of the natives here. I doubt riding them would be the same as riding a horse.
[ As someone who bends the rules, cheats or even just knows the cards or tiles as well as his body, he hasn't actually lost either. He's the type of person who can manipulate rock paper scissors to have 99 of the same, after all. Loss isn't something he's all that familiar with -- unless you count the killing game. Akashi has no need to know about that any time soon though, not when he's actually, on some level, enjoying himself here. ]
Neither have I, Akashi-chan. Doesn't that make it more exciting?
[ This isn't actually a date, but he rubs his thumb over Akashi's thumb and hand. ]
[ He hums in amusement. There really isn't anything to say about their winning streaks that wouldn't make him sound obnoxious or condescending. It's why he merely agrees with him, but the voices in his head tell him that whenever they do play, they (he) shouldn't let his guard down. ]
I don't think it would hurt to try.
[ His gaze flickers to their linked hands. That was a bit odd, but not unwelcome. Kokichi isn't his first acquaintance who's touchy feely... but there aren't a lot of people who would dare to touch Akashi in the first place. Most would think that they would get shanked upon contact. ]
[ There isn't, no, but either way it'll be fun to see how it goes. ]
Right, right! I bet it'll be fun. You can do loops in the sky and everything.
[ He watches him look down out of the corner of his eyes, curious to see how he reacts to it. There isn't much of a reaction though, which is a touch surprising but it isn't necessarily a bad thing. ]
voice.
voice.
voice.
[ NEVERMIND THAT HE DID IT BEFORE ]
voice.
[ ... why does this sound like a commitment tho ]
voice. -> action

Yup! Completely ready. Let's get started then, we've got a long afternoon ahead of us. Hey, hey-- Akashi-chan do you like cake?
[ He reaches for his wrist to tug him along. ]
no subject
I don't dislike cake, but I have to watch my diet.
no subject
Eh?! Seriously...? That’s so boring, but we can always share one, Akashi-chan. Which do you like the most?
no subject
[ Guess who hasn't really formed an opinion on cakes yet. ]

[ Diet, strict parent... etc etc HE NEEDS TO LIVE LIFE 8( ]
It's not a big deal.

Maaaaybe this time will be different! Liiiike, what if I feed it to you?
no subject
I'd rather not trouble you. I can feed myself.
no subject
[ Why this. ]
no subject
Why would we do that?
[ Guess who's never done that before, either? ]

[ This is sounding more like a date each tag I'm sorry. ]
i'm so sorry...
[ As they walk past people, some of them whisper to one another. Akashi's senses are pretty heightened because he's "absolute" or some other bullshit LOOK THIS IS EMBARRASSING FOR ME TO WRITE... the point is, he manages to hear these people as the two of them pass by.

Maybe we can find out together sometime?
