... Admittedly, this is not information I was expecting to hear over ice cream. [ Just being honest here. ] But you needn't filter yourself around me. I've threatened people and their parents, while not truly myself. I'm able to handle such conversations.

[ The game terms are still lost on him but... he tries to make sense of it. ]

That's because I let you see parts of the "real me". [ He pauses, finally eating a spoonful of his dessert. He kicks his feet out, eyes still anywhere but on Akashi. ]

I died not long after her anyway, but at least it was on my own terms... and was done to help the others escape.

[ Akashi doesn't mind the lack of eye contact, but he's boring holes into Ouma by now. ]

Enough. Saihara-chan and those left were given a chance to get the answers anyway. Momota-chan and I bought them time, which is better than nothing.

[ He continues to look at Ouma, wondering what the boy is thinking, but while he's usually able to figure people out, this situation is a bit more difficult in that aspect.

He goes back to his ice cream which has mostly melted. ]

[ To be fair, his face is blank as he talks about this anyway. Not giving anything away. He won't talk about how he can't have any weight on top of him without a panic attack spiralling up. He won't talk about how it feels to be shot in the back, the feel of poison burning your blood.

Instead he gives Akashi a small, sweet smile after a moment's silence. ] That reminds me, Akashi-chan... I have two boyfriends now.

[ Considering no one has beaten him in chess or shogi yet. ]

[ Because if anything, Ouma would probably be better than Shuichi given that he was always 2 steps ahead of him in the killing game and all. He manipulated people like chess pieces, anyway. ]
